Our initial volunteers meeting for 2020 was held yesterday evening (14.12.2020) at the marae. If you were unable to attend would you kindly hit reply and acknowledge you have received this email. Please confirm, also, numbers attending and / or helping. Our plans for Christmas Day are well in hand. We have a kitchen manager and a clear path for when and where people prepared to help can slot in. Menu development is well in hand. We have received significant community donations for the event.
We may need one or two folk to run errands, pick up & drop off provisions during the setup on Christmas Eve and we may have the need for a driver for errands / people pick up / drop offs again on Christmas Day. Helping is flexible and as you are able. We look forward to being with you on Christmas Day. Help is very much appreciated:

CHRISTMAS DAY 1 Kitchen 6AM – 2PM 2 Parking 10:30 – NOON 3 General assisting as and when required. 11AM – 3PM 4 Breakdown / Clean up 3PM – 6PM Kiri, Jan and Michael are keeping an overall eye on the event. Please ask questions of us by email reply, or a text or phone call to one of us.

Thank you for offering your support and assistance at Christmas at the Marae 2020. A separate guest email will follow in the next few days! We invite you to come to the marae (via Gate 2 on Bracken Street, Leamington) this coming Monday afternoon (5PM Monday 14 December 2020) to meet the marae committee and other volunteers and to get an overview of this year’s event. Don’t worry, if you are unable to attend, we will be in contact (probably via email) to keep you up with developments. Your help of any duration is very much appreciated. Specifically we are looking for support at the following times:
ON CHRISTMAS EVE 3PM – 6PM to set up and dress tables / hang decorations etc / some kitchen prep etc .. (come in Gate 2 on Bracken Street)
CHRISTMAS DAY 6AM – 3PM Preparation / kitchen / general housekeeping / plating and serving (and everything else). Parking will be managed from 10:30AM onward both through Gate 1 and Gate 2. 11AM -3PM Lunch Front of House / parking / general assistance during lunch / some pick up and drop offs as required. AND VERY IMPORTANTLY 3PM – 6PM Christmas Day breakdown / clean up / rubbish disposal etc,,
